Program

The project is facilitated by a consortium in collaboration with the Association of Hungarian Student Labs. The primary objective is to enhance the appeal of science careers among young students, foster interest in STEM fields and enable early and widespread access to cutting-edge innovation tools and scientific advancements.

Beyond the enhancement of existing student labs, the project also supports the establishment of new facilities, including a mobile lab. To date, 30 student labs have received a combined funding of 1.5 billion forints, primarily allocated for equipment upgrades, modernization efforts, and the procurement of necessary materials and personnel to conduct student lab sessions.

Complementary to financial support, professional trainings, scientific events, and consultancy services, aimed at fostering collaborations and ensuring seamless integration into both the national and the international innovation ecosystems are also part of the project. Personalized mentoring and leadership development initiatives are included as well, securing the optimal functioning of student labs and their networks throughout the duration of the project.

This initiative directly supported by the National Research, Development, and Innovation Fund, contributing significantly to the cultivation of interest in research careers among the youth, while effectively harnessing the knowledge and capabilities within the national higher education institutions.
