VivaTechnology in Paris is an international meeting place for large companies and investors looking for new technological solutions, an excellent opportunity for Hungarian startups, scaleups and innovative SMEs to present themselves and build international business relationships. VivaTech, which will take place between 22-25 May this year, will focus on innovation and new technologies, as well as on artificial intelligence. Hungarian companies can register for the event through the Hungarian Embassy in Paris.
VivaTech, which will take place for the 8th time in 2024 between 22-25 May, will focus on artificial intelligence, but all other areas of innovation and new technologies will also be showcased at the event.
In 2023, the trade fair will be a hybrid (in-person and online) event, with around 150,000 in-person participants from 174 countries and 405,000 online visitors. Last year, a total of 11,400 startups and 2,800 exhibitors participated, reaching some 919 million people through social networks, 5 million viewers on VivaTech News and generating more than 6 billion impressions on social media.
Programmes
In VivaTechnology 2024, three days will be open to business participants and one day to the general public. The exhibition-conference will be attended by more than 100,000 technology and innovation experts and decision-makers. VivaTechnology will cover a wide range of industries and innovation (Artificial Intelligence, Climate Tech, Mobility, Deeptech, Japan Country of the Year, Business, Future Societies, Internet and Democracy, Creators' Economy, Gaming and Esport).
The event will be accompanied by a number of side events, highlighted by an investor networking event on the eve of the exhibition on 21 May. VivaTech will also offer the possibility to organise pre-arranged B2B meetings, which can be accessed by all registered participants via the event's app.
In addition, the Choose Paris Region business development agency will organise specific programmes for foreign start-ups (meetings with major companies in a sector, industry webinars to get to know the French market, networking events, etc.).
Another excellent opportunity to promote the participation of Hungarian startups is the various innovation "Challenges" available on VivaTechnology's website, through which the selected startups get free exhibitor presence at the stand of the large company that has issued the competition, as well as the chance to pitch to a number of startups, and some large companies offer financial rewards and future business cooperation to the winners. The visibility of the companies selected in the competition will be significantly increased in the technology ecosystem. The list of Challenges still available can be found at https://vivatechnology.com/challenges/list
An opportunity for Hungarian SMEs
As in previous years, the Embassy of Hungary in Paris is offering free visitor passes for a limited number of Hungarian companies (startups/scaleups/ SMEs) for the 4 days of the event (one - or possibly two - per company on a first-come, first-served basis).
Those interested in participating in VivaTech should contact the Office of the Hungarian Embassy in Paris at trade.par@mfa.gov.hu, preferably no later than 22 April 2024.
As in previous years, the Embassy will also organise a networking event for participating Hungarian companies. Last year, a total of eight Hungarian startups/scaleups participated in the event organised by the Hungarian Embassy in Paris.
